2019/20 summer saw a lot of Australia on fire and covered in smoke. Over christmas I was staying with my Mum in the Hunter Valley. The smell of the bushfires was very strong, covering everything in a layer of ash, most days the sky was orange, others the smoke was so thick that it blocked out the sun. We didn't have may clear days but on the clearest day I decided to go into the backyard and photograph some of the interesting around the garden.
1:20pm December 19th 2019.
The smell of bushfires lingers in the air. — Thick smoke blankets the sky blocking the sun. — Ash falls from the orange sky. — My country burns.
